The University of El Salvador or Universidad de El Salvador (UES) is a public institution and the oldest and most prominent university in El Salvador. Its main campus is located in the capital, San Salvador, with branches in Santa Ana, San Miguel, and San Vicente.

Moving from event to event at the University of El Salvador felt like floating in a wondrous labyrinth. No such thing as a random student's pointing across a quad to direct us; good luck seeing the top of the building next on the itinerary. Either pastel-colored, sun-splashed buildings adorned with student-designed murals old and new or encroaching plants and trees bordered every walkway.
